The Venetian Casino in Las Vegas, USA, runs a series called Deep Stack Extravaganza. They run it 4 times a year and it happened on one of those tournaments.

I think most such tournaments are only for players registered through a given website - like we have 4 freerolls coming up on Poker Stars just for players registered through our website.
