We are here in Vienna at Casino Montesino, which can be found in an entertainment centre. The entire third level is the casino. There are many tables, there is two or three tournament running at the same time, and of course there are cash games as well.
Everything in one place here: bar, slot machines, restaurant and of course Poker.
Yesterday, 225 players registered for the Betfair Poker live €100.000 guaranteed tournament. Today 355 players registered so, the casino opened another room in the second floor with 10-15 new tables, because there were not enough free space on the third floor. Although so many racers here, that many of the registered players can not reach Vienna because of the heavy snowfall across Europe.
The environment is professional, but many of the players are amateurs, until this time I have recognized only one professional Betfair Poker pro, called John Tabatabai from England.
The starting chips are 20.000 the blinds are 25-50, so most of the players are playing loose, probably the Hungarians play a bit tighter.

The prizepool will be more than 100.000 euros, because more player paid the buy-in. Most of the gamers are from Austria and Germany, but there are also English, Polish, Norway, Holland, Russian and even players from Cyprus. The game played on more than 50 tables! There are interesting hands at the first blind level, a few players are building a pot over 15.000 chips! The winner was a young guy showed 4 6o with which he made two pair.

Level 2. The blinds are 50-100. The game did not change. Typical that 6 players see the flop, and then someone makes a big bet and wins the pot! Suddenly someone call for the floorman! The truth is that the racers playing in semidarkness, and a guy made a call and put 3.600 chips to the middle. The problem that the raiser raised 8.600 not 3.600 just the guy did not see it well... The floorman decision was that the second guy must put 5.000 more chips to the middle. It was a big loss, cause the raiser showed a Three fo a kind from Q!
At the other table a tight old man raising with pocket aces, what a gambler young guy called with 5,6 and the straight had come...

The number of players are under 300 at midnight. There is ante 25 chips and the blinds are 150-300. More and more all in comes, so many players eliminated from the tournament. At least i got the information the correct numbers of the players. Yesterday 229 players registered, today 366, the total is 595 people. This means that the prizepool grow 148.750 euros! I think that is much more than the 100.000 euros guaranteed prizepool planned by the Betfair , thanks to the many Austrian young guys. Meanwhile 10 minutes break again.

Welcome back today from Betfair Poker live tournament from Vienna. It was a long day yesterday (today),so many people did not arrive on time to the casino. The tournament began at 14.00 , but half of the tables are still empty at 14.30.
219 people started the fight today, and only 18 racers are going to remain for tomorrow, or we play 12 blind levels :)

The blinds are 1500-3000 ante 400. There are only 135 players left. One of the Hungarian players doubled with a poker of 8. There is big difference beetween the chips, there are huge and very small stacks among the players, which effect interesting plays. For example a short stack pushed an all in with AK and a guy with huge stacks easy called with JQ off. There is a Jack on the flop, so another one out. It is time for a 10 minutes break, after that we come back with 2000-4000 blinds and ante 500!

Players have done two more blind levels 3000-6000 ante 500 and 4000-8000 ante 500.
Only 74 players left. The game became more and more exciting as the bubble approaching. 10 percent of the players are going to get money from the prizepool.
Players are getting really excited some of them crying really loud that YES BABY, some of them shouting OH MY GOOD NO :)
A few players performs really hard emotional eruptions!
Probably the 45 minutes dinner break will be good for them to calm down a little bit!

After the brake the game became really serious, we can say classic hands against each other, as a pre-flop all in with Kings against Aces. The suffering player is László Siba from Hungary who is the bubble-guy, cause the kings lost the party. The remaining players can be happy, because they all will get some of the prizepool.
As we are in the money more all in came, so there are only 47 players remained.
The blinds up again 8000-16000 ante 2000.

The blinds are 10.000-20.000 ante 2000 and only 31 players left. To tell you the truth the game is really boring lately, because nobody wants to fall out. So we can rarely see the flop, because someone raise and everybody fold.
There were a nice party at this stage, a short stack pushed all in with K10, what the only girl among the players (who is Hungarian) callled with QQ the third guy was folded. The flop was K 10 Q , so the only girl won a nice pot.
Players begin to look really tired. They have been playing more than 10 hours!

Players are falling out very fast, so we had the final table, with 4 guys from Austria, 2 from Germany and Poland and one from Cyprus. The chipleader is Karall Peter from Austria with 2.020.000 chips. There are 9 people on the final table although there are 10 seats, so probably this is the habit in Montesino.
